Kanye West has a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. His fourth album 808s & Heartbreak is on pace to sell between 450-500,000 copies based on first-day estimates. That would make this Kanye’s third biggest debut of his career (following Graduation and Late Registration) and his third No. 1 album.
Early sales reports have Ludacris selling 175-225,000 copies of his sixth LP Theater of the Mind. While these numbers are respectable, we have to question Def Jam’s decision to release Luda the same week as Kanye. 808s totally overshadowed Theater of the Mind.

These estimates are too early, most people didnt even know it was coming Nov.24 (especially Luda fans). Plus Black friday should increase sales. Kanye prob over 600k, and Luda over 300k.

Kanye’s album is powerful.
Poor Luda, he would’ve sold over 300K easily with more hype/promo. But they put all the energy into Kanye.
