Rap-Up.com || Kanye West to Tour with Lady GaGa

The worlds of Kanye West and Lady GaGa will collide when the two superstars hit the road together later this year.

“Me and Lady GaGa are going on tour now,” Mr. West announced on Wednesday’s episode of ABC’s “The View.”

Even though this is only GaGa’s first album, she will not be a supporting act. Instead, the two will co-headline. “She’s talented and she’s so incredible that she’s not an opening act,” ’Ye said. “We’re doing our show together, with no opening act.”

West spoke highly of the “Poker Face” singer in a recent blog entry. “I look at our current superstars like legends in the making. Like Justin [Timberlake] is the new Mike [Jackson], Beyoncé’s the new Tina Turner, [Lady] GaGa’s Madonna, Jay[-Z] is Sinatra, [Lil] Wayne is Hendrix, Thom Yorke is Roger Waters.”

No dates have been announced yet.

Jay-Z is Sinatra ??? Lil Wayne is Hendrix? Justin is MJ??? Are you kidding me?? Not to mention, NONE of the listed artists are on the legends’ level for now.

He can’t actually believe everything he said!
Justin Timberlake, the new MJ? No way! Let’s wait and see if he lasts 40 years in show business and then we can talk about it! Let’s see if he influences a whole generation, and then we can talk about it!
Jay-Z, the new Sinatra? Pleeeeaaaase! I like his music, but come on! Sinatra was an actor. I never saw Jay-Z act. Sinatra was more than a singer, he was a conductor too. And he touched every genre of music : jazz, blues, swing, rock, disco. Jay-Z’s field is hip hop/rap “only”.
And I thought I was gonna pass out when I saw that Kanye said Lil Wayne was the new Hendrix! We won’t be talking about Lil Wayne 30 years from now! Hell no! Hendrix was a genius, an innovator, a legend.
I can’t believe it. Kanye has lost my respect.
You can’t force somebody or a generation to be a legend. It happens itself.
And by the way, I can’t see anybody in this generation (Kanye, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Britney, Christina, Justin, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo,..) becoming a legend. I see great artists, but legend? No. I’m sorry. This batch doesn’t deserve the title.
