Jordin Sparks, Adele, and Leona Lewis

New York’s Brooklyn Academy of Music was filled with D-listers, as in divas, as VH1 brought back its “VH1 Divas” telecast on Thursday (Sept. 17). The Paula Abdul-hosted show featured pairings of young divas with old-timers including Jennifer Hudson and Stevie Wonder, Leona Lewis and Cyndi Lauper, Adele and India.Arie, and Jordin Sparks and Martina McBride. Toni Braxton and Keri Hilson were among the presenters.

    It was a really great show. All ladies EXcept Miley Cyrus sounded wonderful. Jennifer, Adele, Kelly, and Leona can blow!

    werd agree with MaZ Toni shud perform but these girls are reaaaallly god man i had goosebumps jus comin out of me hearing their voices. even though miley is young i think she did pretty good maybe she needs to get a little older but she was ok.

    Some of these “DIVAS” shouldn’t be considered “DIVAS”!!! I’m not feeling Miley and Leona…nothing against them personally BUT Miley is in a differnt league and Leona needs more time in the game first.

    Do you remember when VH1 Divas actually had Divas like Mariah Carey, Whitney Huston, Aretha Franklin. They could of brought out Beyonce, Tina Turner, Etta James, I dont know. Some singer thats been around more than 10 years. Cause these young ladies they have on here now, probably wont be here tomorrow!

    You cant tell me all they could get was Toni Braxton and Cyndi Who-Lauper. VH1 should just let it go, and stick to their celeb-reality crap.

    Tony braxton deserved to perform , I love her sensual voice and the others well.. . IT TAKES MORE TIME´´ AND HITS TO BECOME A DIVA”. I din’t take the show seriously cause they’re beginners for me. and then THE TEEN GIRL MILEY has become a DIVA PLEASEEEEEEEEE.

    If a Jennifer Hudson does not get your attention then you are either dealth and dumb, or you are dead. This young multi-talented artist is a power house on the mic. She is very, very, amazing.
