Rap-Up.com || VH1 Hip Hop Honors 2009: Red Carpet

Hip-hop and R&B stars, past and present, bridged the gap to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Def Jam at VH1 Hip Hop Honors 2009 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York on Wednesday (Sept. 23).

Foxy Brown and DMX reemerged from hiding to join Eminem, Ludacris, Chuck D, Flavor Flav, Eve, Ashanti, Method Man, Fabolous, Trey Songz, Kid Rock, and more in paying homage to the legendary hip-hop label.

Ashanti lookin good. Glad she left the Inc she needs a better label to hold her down. Has the music industry forgot that she had the best selling Debut of a female artist Ever in the history of soundscan. Aint no new female artist is doing that again. Give her a label that can hold her down she deserves it.

Why does Eminem never, ever in the entire entity of his fam walked the red carpet? Hell, I was surprised when dude showed up to his 8 Mile premiere. Is he that unattainable?

Sofia.. I feel you. He used to walk the red carpet at MTV awards back in the day and only decided to show up on 8 Mile & The Way I Am book premier just because it’s HIS party. Now I feel like I will never see him do that again. :(
