Fresh off headlining his “Virginia Stand Up! A Call to Action” benefit concert for Haiti in his homestate of Virginia over the weekend, Chris Brown teams up with Young Money’s Tyga for their fan appreciation mixtape Fan of a Fan. The 18-track offering, presented by DJ Ill Will and DJ Rockstar, features appearances from Lil Wayne (“I’m On It”) and Bow Wow (“Ain’t Thinkin’ ‘Bout You”).

Mixtape is fire! I was wondering where Gshit and Holla At Me were too but since I already had the songs downloaded from before I just added them to the Fan of a Fan album on my iPod. I think the dj messed up on that tho and had to include them as bonus tracks over at DatPiff. Anyway mixtape is hot if you don’t have it go get it!

I am a diehard fan – I mean diehard -of Breezy and his music, but I don’t go for him – or any of them – using the term ‘bitches.’ Its gutter talk, it is totally disrespectful of women. They gotta stop it. Get creative, dudes. I let Tyga get by with it on Holla, but it really hurts me now that I hear it coming from Chris’ mouth. To me he IS special, even if he gets in the Yong Monday stable. He has evolved, and that’s fine – but I don’t go for the ‘rapping ‘bitch’ into your flow’ shit.
And NO way am I hating on Chris. This just an opinion, from a woman.

Men and women use the term “bitch”. Lady Gaga calls herself a “free bitch”, Rihanna’s used it a few times and pretty much every rapper alive uses it, whether or not they’re referring to a female (“Bitch-ass nigga”, etc.). To get mad at CB for using the term kind of seems hypocritical. If it was Lil Wayne, I’m sure half of you wouldn’t care nearly as much.

But, then again, CB is obviously the source of all the world’s ills. Global warming? Famine? The earthquakes? Floods? Clearly all Christopher Maurice Brown’s fault. How silly of me to think otherwise.

Holla @me and g shit are bonus tracks which weren’t added to the mixtape…dont kno why…maybe it was made after the mixtape. Tyga killed it no doubt. Chris steppin out of his comfort zone. To me i dont care what happened in the past with him. Right now he is doin his work and im proud cos thats what artsist are remembered for. Their music not some bullshit
