Drake gets a little crazy, sexy, cool on the first offering from his R&B mixtape It’s Never Enough. Drizzy covers TLC’s album title track “FanMail” on the pulsing Noah “40” Shebib production. This is my favorite TLC song! And while it’s not Drake’s best, he does a great job with this. I’m a fan of both TLC and Drake, and I can’t say “shame on Drake for taking on this song”. He did great. He took a song that was clearly important to him and he made it his own.

I love this. I think Drake usually shines in songs like this. Maybe because I can heavily personally relate to them. His sampling of “Little Bit” on his last mix-tape was amazing.

FanMail was my first album! I love TLC and I really miss LeftEye, her voice and spirit was truly amazing! This song was so special to me and it’s weird to hear someone else sing it BUT I’m kinda glad he did this and hopefully more kids get to know TLC thanks to Drake’s version of ‘FanMail’!
