Behind the Video: Bruno Mars - 'Grenade'

Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars takes on a heavy load for his lover in the video for “Grenade,” the second single from his debut album Doo-Wops & Hooligans. The singer-songwriter joked by saying he prepped for his grueling role of pushing a piano by doing 800-967 push-ups every day.

“The concept of the video is my struggle,” explained a dapper Bruno on the downtown Los Angeles set. “I tell this girl I’d do anything for her, so I’m going as far as dragging a piano to get to her just so I can sing my heart out.”

The video premieres Friday on MTV. Get a behind-the-scenes look below.
