Behind the Video: Bruno Mars – ‘Grenade’

Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars takes on a heavy load for his lover in the video for “Grenade,” the second single from his debut album Doo-Wops & Hooligans. The singer-songwriter joked by saying he prepped for his grueling role of pushing a piano by doing 800-967 push-ups every day.

“The concept of the video is my struggle,” explained a dapper Bruno on the downtown Los Angeles set. “I tell this girl I’d do anything for her, so I’m going as far as dragging a piano to get to her just so I can sing my heart out.”

The video premieres Friday on MTV. Get a behind-the-scenes look below.

I’m a big fan of Mars’. If not the best track grenade is definitely the second best track on the album next to Talking to the Moon. Looks like it’s going to be another creative video too.

I normally hate popmusic and I think popsingers are like.. arrogant and selfish.. But Bruno Mars is an amazing singer, his voice is amazing and he’s not so.. you know: “Everybody loves me” and “my music is God, I’m God!” Not like Lady GaGa or Rihanna..bla bla.. I like Bruno Mars alot especially “Just The Way You Are”
