Nasty Nas is back to claim his throne with the first street single from his upcoming album Life Is Good. Over an old school, gritty production from Salaam Remi, QB’s Finest spits verse after verse without a hook.
“I’m not in the winters of my life or the beginning stage/ I am the dragon/ Maserati, pumpin’ Biggie the great legend, blastin’/ I’m after the actress who played Faith Evans,” he rhymes before declaring, “Make room for the king.”
Damn this shit sucks, someone pls tel this ni99a that this aint 94 no more
and the problem with this nas song is , ask urself after you listen to it, What the fuck was the song about?
can’t believe yal even cosignin it, this shit is mad sub par and wack for a first single from nas after so many years. I expected more and u stans are enabling this dude to release shit that is not half of what he is capable of smh. This song is shit, the beat is shit and the quotables are shit.
@bknyhustle, This isnt 1994? Well I wish it was cause the shit out now is fuckin garbage you fake ass Jay-Z fan.. So youre saying that in 1994 niggas rapped about nothing? You not even making sense homie.. You want to know what the song was about? It was Nas letting these clown ass rappers know that he cant be fucked wit on the mic.. Stop hating.. You dont fuck wit Nas you just another hating ass nigga trying to cover yourself by talkin shit, then saying you fuck wit him at the end..
@bknyhustle, thank you for giving an opinion bro that actually holds to a little truth. im glad u listened before criticizing and the criticism was constructive. im glad we can have a intellectual argument on whether this song holds to true nas music
@bknyhustle,
you must be a dancer, or rapper/singing looking ass boy. this is hip hop..i wish it was 94 we will have better mc’s. nas the goat, no nursery rhymes just lyrics and aggression. and not a slave to what the radio wants…..go to every station and rec the dj
OK PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS NAS IS UNDER RAKIM SO THE LYRICS WILL ALWAYS BE SNONW SO FOR NEW NIGGERS SNOW MEAN CLEAN THIS IS A BODY LIL WAYNE IS GARBAGE TO THIS THIS IS ACID RAIN WHO EVER DONT LIKE WHAT I SAID SUCK MY SHIT FROM NASTY NAS
tell Nas haters to go to wherever they come from which i believe is HELL tell them to go back so that hip hop can breath.LONG LIVE NAS(in my brain),LONG LIVE HIPHOP
Okay well I think there is valid points from both sides. Hip hop is def not dead,it just took a breather for a while. The past few years have produces some new artists that embody what hip hop is about. Anyone who claims to be a true head must pay homage to both Jay and Nas.In my opinion the song is far from the beat from Nas but it dies bring back that classic sound that true Nas fans will appreciate it. For some reason in hip hop when artists start to get commercial success, people feel that they have sold oilit and their music lacks the authenticity that it once had. This rarely happens in other genres. People hate on Jay because the amount of success that he’s had. while his sound has changes a little from his first album,he continues to stay relevent regardless of what style of rap is popular at the time. Nas hasn’t had quite the same level of success but after 18 years since “Illmatic”,the fact that he can still write with the same vigor that he had then is due praise. While they both have different sound,if you are a real authentic head,they should both be on your top 5 of all time lists,no questions asked!
nas, scarface, ice cube, biggie, pac, ugk, lupe, kanye, no particular order have never took no one sound nor style never afraid to speak there minds and stood up as leaders thats hip hop and big ups to jay tho
