Rap-Up.com || Holiday Throwback: Dr. Dre Goes Under the Mistletoe in ‘Chronic’ Commercial

The year was 1992 and Dr. Dre was on a high after releasing his iconic album The Chronic. To promote the project, Death Row Records produced a holiday commercial in which a fresh-faced Andre Young was seen kissing a hottie under the mistletoe.

“What makes it more happy under the mistletoe this Christmas?” asked the narrator in a Jamaican accent. The Chronic, of course.

Take it back with these vintage commercials and hope that next Christmas we’ll see Detox under the Christmas tree.
