Rihanna was feeling extra rested and relaxed as she vacationed in paradise over the weekend. The “We Found Love” singer smoked and sunbathed while lounging at her hotel in Hawaii. A makeup-free RiRi didn’t notice the paparazzi snapping photos as she rolled up a blunt. “Kush rolled, glass full…I prefer the better things!” she tweeted, quoting Drake and Nicki Minaj’s “Up All Night.”

@Marvin, while I’m personally not a smoker (of any sort) and I don’t particularly feel like people should be praised for smoking, I also think that it comes down to the parents to modify their children’s behaviour. It’s not Rihanna’s place to be a parent to a child through a television or computer screen and she shouldn’t take that responsibility on. It’s just a cop-out if parents say that their wayward child is wayward because they saw it on the internet. It’s the parents job to instill the values in their children that will allow them to make positive choices (even if they do decide to smoke weed, sometimes this is in some way a positive choice).

I totally agree, but – REAL TALK – It’s easier said than done.

I used to get upset about celebrities and the things they do and how it might affect my daughter…but hell! She’s my daughter! She’s my responsibility and if I don’t want her listenin’ to Rihanna (which she likes WFL, but that’s it…she ain’t into videos cause I don’t watch ‘em), or any other sex sellin’ male or female celeb, I don’t expose it to her. I even try to fill her head with wisdom so when she does get that exposure (and I’m not naive that I think she won’t) she’ll be mentally prepared enough to make her own decision about whether she likes them or not.

Hell, I grew up watchin’ Luke Videos and the reason I chose not to shake my ass in video’s or other places is cause mom’s instilled that in me: “Don’t let yo ass be yo claim to fame.”

I show my different thangs like dancin’, swimmin’, campin’, basketball, skatin’…you see where I’m gettin’ at. I agree with you 100%, BUT it is hard fightin’ BIG time celebs…cause in reality she might get it at her friends house…it’s all about the quality of the relationship you have with your children…but how many parents (wanna) spend time like that???
