It’s alive! From the mind of David Guetta comes the video for “Turn Me On,” his hit collaboration with Nicki Minaj off his album Nothing But the Beat. The French DJ plays a mad scientist, bringing to life his finest creation in the lab. But once the rest of his bald-headed prototypes get a peek at the voluptuous vixen, their envy turns into anger and they hunt down their creator, tearing off his clothes to reveal a body of metal. The pink-haired Barb makes her way through the dark village before riding off on a horse as the mannequins chase her down.

@I’mRight, you are right it is like a few other videos, but the ideo of being built as a robot is not limited to Lil Kim and Kanye. Probably the most successful and well known version goes to Bjork. Anyway this is just another great addition and a new interpretation to the growing iRobot genre.

Loved the concept of the video, and loved every moment seeing Nicki, but for some reason I just feel like there should have been a dance break in the video. Like I was waiting for all the other doll people to gather around her and they start dancing but I saw she got on that horse and hit so I knew it won’t happening then…. Made me sorta sad…but other than that I love me some Nicki and can’t wait until April 3rd!!! #TeamMinaj

This video falls short. I mean it could have been SO much more. All the elements where there to make this an exceptional showcase but it just um.. blah. This video reminds me of “Disturbia” and the song reminds me of “Only Girl (In the world)” which cause the video & song to clash because it doesn’t fit!!!!!!

For those who don’t understand the video

David or whatever made all of the robots. He’s the “robot maker” or whatever but I guess he tried something new and he made nicki as a robot and specifically “turned her on”. Anyway he made her more beautiful than all the other robots so they demanded him that he make them as beautiful as she so I guess he said no and then he turned out to be a robot. And…then nicki is on a horse or whatever.

There is no denying that this was, at the very least, inspired by Lil Kim and her How Many Licks video. From the comments I read all over, I’ve come to see that Nicki fans tend to enjoy sharing their poorly researched, unintelligible, and very very hateful comments. While she is an amazing entertainer, its pretty evident that she modeled her image and career off of Kim.
