Rap-Up.com || Video: Chris Brown – ‘Turn Up the Music’

Chris Brown makes all the right moves in the electrifying video for “Turn Up the Music,” the lead single off his fifth album Fortune. The smooth operator hops in a futuristic cab and soon finds himself in the wildest party of his life.

Dancers in animal costumes lead him to a warehouse, where he busts out slickly-choreographed routines, including moves inspired by his idol Michael Jackson. He dances shirtless in a suit, splashes in the rain, and raves in the streets in the contagious clip, which he co-directed with Godfrey Tabarez.

Soooo…this video has too many elements i’ve seen before from Kesha’s “Blow” to LMFAO’s “Party Rock” and pretty much every other dance/pop video out with the club/rave scene. For CB to be in such an “iconic” category, each video needs to be greater than the next and this is just NOT memorable for me.

I don’t understand why people are stuck in the past. I think everyone knows what happened to him and Rihanna at that night but it’s TOO long ago and I truly believe he regrets what he did. And don’t you people think he would done differently if he could go back in time? I know I lost soooo many respect towards him but everyone deserves second chance. He only did what he did ONCE and I’m not saying it was the right thing to do but why would he be the same man that his mother was married to? Think about it.

Was expecting a lot more from his “best video yet” but I did like it…However what I was disturbed by is the ignorance that seems to be so bliss. There’s just a few things I don’t understand. One if you dislike Chris Brown it’s simple, DON’T SUPPORT HIS CAREER! Like sheesh, how hard is it to just ignore an artist you don’t like? Not very. I can understand if you were in a car and every station was playing his music..But by going out of your way to watch his 4:18 video and bashing it just makes you look stupid. Two some of y’all CB fans are a little out of control. No woman EVER deserves to be handled that way so by saying she got what she deserves is a little crazy don’t you think? And three YES he made a mistake but if she’s able to let it go, forgive him, and move on than I don’t see why everyone else can’t.
