It’s a new Dawn. The former Danity Kane member shows another side in the dance-heavy video for “Automatic,” the second single off her No. 1 EP Armor On. The R&B singer transforms into a golden android, sporting metallic paint as she debuts some new moves. She rocks a blonde wig and black body makeup in another scene straight out of a sci-fi flick.

“For this video, we wanted to show the depth and versatility to our story,” said Dawn. “With ‘Bombs’ we focused on full-out choreography. We want to bring something new every time we release a visual. With ‘Automatic’ it’s more story-focused. It’s the rebellion against what the world wants you to be and what really lies underneath it all when you realize your own self-worth.”

Honest opinion, I like the video, like the beat, hate the hook(too busy), and Dawn really stepped up her style and dancing. Im impressed. Reminded me a little of beyonces diva video tho. These rnb chicks better eat and grab that money hand over fist b4 beyonce wake up.

The point here is that Dawn is killing bitches INDEPENDTLY. No major label, no major budgets backing her that right there tells you that if she was signed to a major label and was backed 100% she would be the next biggest female artist. Not only can she dance her ass off but she has an amazing voice and can sing live.

Hmn… I’m a big Dawn fan. With that being said — this video isn’t my fav. The effects are nice and kudos to her for doing something different. But for some reason, I can’t get into the finished product. I don’t think this shows her in the best light. She’s a beautiful lady and ‘Bombs’ is still my joint though. I give her an A for effort. (Please don’t get mad at me fellow hearts lol!) I still love you Dawn and I’ll rock with her either way. Onwards and upward!!
