Cher Lloyd

After conquering Britain, former “X Factor U.K.” contestant Cher Lloyd invaded the U.S. with her first national television performance on Wednesday. The 18-year-old British darling performed her hit single “Want U Back” on “America’s Got Talent,” recreating her music video, complete with a milkshake-throwing finale. The song, which is currently in the top 10 on iTunes, will appear on her U.S. debut Sticks + Stones, due September 18.

I’ve only heard that one Katy Perry song…but she sounds nothing like this. Does Katy Perry even rap in her songs?

Not a great song at all, very mediocre, there again nothing special about the singer either and everyone knows that this bigged up retard cant rap anyway which is wehy she got laughed out of the UK. This article is nothing more than a blatantpt spin and also Cher NEVER conquered the UK and her latest want u back single bombed after only selling 9,000+ copies. This song has of course bombed in every other country it tried to chart in except America excl. Canada. The top 10 in US itunes is nothing to gloat about either when she’s ONLY sold 500,000 copies in nearly 10 weeks of it being on sale there. Most artists sell that much in 2 weeks of charting. Quite honestly the most useless and overrated singer in the world and just glad the majorioty of the listening audience havent even given this non enityt tard a second hearing.

@antonio, Two points (I could go on but let’s leave it at two shall we) a) Most artists do not sell 500K on USItunes in two weeks on the chart – the No1 only just broke 200K last week b) WUB sold well over 100K in the UK, but still not bad for you, as I assume you are the same Antonio that pops up all over the net having a go at her and predicting she’ll never achieve anything. You increasingly sound to me as plausible as the French claiming they won the battle of Agincourt because the English ran out of arrows in the end. She’s not the greatest thing since sliced bread, but she’s not doing any harm is she, and she’s entertaining some people along the way. What’s your issue?

@stan, the problem is she tried to say shes a rapper when she clearly isnt and then she said she wrote her own freestyle by herself when really she just completely copied Swizz Beatz song “That Oprah”

@CarlosBonegro, I would agree that I don’t think she’s a rapper really, she’s a much better singer. I think she got labelled as a “rapper/urban” by Xfactor and got pigeonholed for the duration of the show. As for the Swizz Beats thing I understand your point, and you may or may not be right, the point is we are/were in the hands of ITV’s editors who never masde it clear if thw words “she cliamed wrote” were in fact the same as she rapped (ie Sizz Beats I believe) or if they were a different set of words we never heard and which got replaced by the Swizz Beats version.

Even so, even if it were the case, she was 16 for crying out loud, does she deserve the relentless grief she’s had in the UK since then?

@stan, i dont know where you are from but in England once you turn 16 you are classed as an adult so stop this crap about “aww shes only 16″ when she was a known bully at school before she became famous she aint innocent stop painting her that way

@CarlosBonegro, that and every other rap given to her on the x-factor not just swizz beats. Lol 14 weeks of just her copying so many other people, just not an original bone in her body and her album just proves she will never understand that sort of music.

@stan, want u back sold ONLY 9,000 in the UK hence its peak UK chart position of only 25 lol not the 100,000 that YOU claim. Why the hype, why the spin doctoring, why the relentless dribbling over a silly young woman that really isnt in any way shape or form original just bigged up karaoke rubbish? I dont hate hjer just her music and what she thinks she is.
