Rap-Up.com || Video: Nas – ‘Bye Baby’

Art imitates life in the video for “Bye Baby,” the latest single off Nas’ chart-topping album Life Is Good. The hip-hop kingpin reflects on the end of his four-year marriage to Kelis in the Aristotle-directed clip. Mr. Jones cleans out his ex-wife’s closet and discovers her green wedding dress. He watches old footage of the couple from happier times, later sitting down with his lawyers to sign the divorce papers.

Watch Nas reflect on the past and move on to the next chapter in his life.

@MinajRules2012, Nas will always be a better lyrical rapper than your favorite rapper. Nas doesn’t care about record sales anymore, Nas only cares about making great music. Nas has made 8 platinum selling albums and 2 gold selling albums, Nas has nothing else to prove right now. Nas’ Life Is Good is a great album that got great critical reviews from unbiased music critics. Nas’ Life Is Good flopped commercially because Nas is not selling out to mainstream hip hop fans just to sell records. Nas is a hip hop legend who made classic albums like Illmatic, It Was Written, God’s Son, and Untitled. Rappers like 2 Chainz, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, and others can only dream about having the longevity and relevance that Nas has had in hip hop for 18 years.

Nas is a true hip hop legend. There is always a meaning behind his music and he is incredibly philosophical and that truly a virgo quality! Nas is truly what hip hop is about and don’t worry Nas a lot of us men can relate to this track, I respect what he said about at least he tried the married life and that he would do it once more unlike these cowards thats scared to make honest woman out of their baby moms. One of the best songs on the album and the best hip-hop video i’ve seen for a while. I want him to do a video for World’s An Addiction. That song has so much meaning and he could make a really great video out of it and I love Anthony Hamilton too.
