@Miles, You are a moran. bcuz all the REAL hip-hop artist like Nas are putting out albums, yet no one is buying them. No one is giving them the attention they need to carry on “Hardcore” Hip-Hop… and it starts with people like you, hating on Nicki when all ur doing is giving this post more views… Go spend ur time listening to Nas music or on Nas’ posts. Not Nickis.

@Wassupp,
Lil Wayne & Nicki don’t make Hip-Hop music. and Keeping the genre alive has nothing to do with whats selling. I don’t care about giving her post more view, and Idgaf about how much money her an Wayne making. I’m not even hating. Wayne’s music is garbage. The Carter 4 was garbage. The Carter 3 was garbage. Dedication 4 was garbage. & to anyone who disagrees, you should take a good look in the mirror. the last time Wayne released a good hip-hop album was Tha Carter 2.
And Pink Friday:Reloaded can hardly even be called a hip-hop album. I’m not even gonna say my opinion on the actual quality of the music but the album cannot be categorized as a Hip-Hop album on fact.
You cannot save Hip-Hop when you are releasing horrible Hip-Hop music. The fact that its selling well is actually ruining the genre because thats what kids will perceive as good Hip-Hop. No body over the age of 18 buys lil wayne’s music

@Wassupp, Plus how am I a moron. There is no message in Wayne’s music. Nothing positive or even worth listening to. Its all about “f***ing bad Bit**es”, gettin money, and getting high. His music has no purpose, and couldn’t possibly give anyone a positive feeling once the song is over. You can’t possibly be telling me that songs of that nature is “saving hip-hop”

@Miles, That’s the thing tho.. u said they aint keeping nothing alive… but yet at least they have their foundation built on Hip-Hop… yes, Nicki does do pop but that isnt a crime & she still raps a lot here and there… and as for wayne… Hip-Hop is not CHRISTION/GOSPEL, it doesn’t HAVE to be inspirational. Rappers can rap about Jesus or Naked women. It Doesn’t matter. and honestly i dnt know why ur spending so much time on something u dnt like.

@Wassupp, I’m not saying he has to rap about gospel, i’m not religious myself. But he is keeping anything alive with the subject matter he chooses to rap about. Eminems music was violent, and weird and sometimes disrespectful, but it went into more of the category of venting and letting the audience no more of him. Biggie rapped about drugs and life on the streets but he was letting the world know about the lifestyle he lived. Wayne’s music is just pointless bragging about nothing good.
And I’m not saying there is anything wrong with Nicki Minaj making pop music. But you can’t say she is keeping hip-hop alive when most of her album was pop and she makes pop more than rap. that like saying Taylor Swift is keeping Rock n Roll alive

that “no worries” song sucks but it would be amazing if lil wayne came out on a skateboard and fell over, nicki minaj better not do another shit performance like she did at the grammys, 2 chainz should not be there unless he brings out kanye west, and rihanna better not be performing with asap rocky that ninjas over rated

i aint even a hater “let the beat build” is my phone ringtone and i love “did it on em” but lil wayne has become dramatically shitter at rapping and song choosing you cannot deny that and nicki minaj is the biggest female rapper in the world and she still calls herself a “bad bitch” she needs to get some self respect and start trying to be a black QUEEN instead of a “bad bitch” and 2 chainz i have only heard this nigga write two good raps EVER “duffle bag boy” and on “mercy” besides them everything else is garbage .. VMAs could of chose j.cole or kendrick lamar or big sean but no they chose 2 chainz fucking liberty

This is the MTV awards so more than likely Nicki will do a pop and hiphop Song. The songs? Probably beez in the trap and the suprise guest will more than likely be britney spears because she was supposed to be on the original version of masquerade…idk just a guess.

Great choice bcuz that way they’ll get more viewers. Think about it, It’s all about popularity. They are bringing in people that are the top in charts bcuz it will bring more viewers. And whether you dnt like the artist or not, everyone will be watching them bcuz they have the attention right now. Also, it’s the VMAs not the BET awards so their choices has to be people who attract a wide range of people, also the people who are doing big right now. And we might wonder why and amazing rapper like Kendrick Lamar isn’t performing. It’s bcuz not everyone knows who he is. Think about it, just bcuz you listen to a lot of his music and all your freinds knw him, it does ‘t mean everyone does. Whereas, lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj have the world’s attention. Everyone knows wh they are. Meaning more viewers and more “hype” show ( does that even make sense). Can’t wait
