Ciara is getting slow and sensual in South Africa. The singer gave fans a little taste of her upcoming album One Woman Army over the weekend with the first live performance of her new single “Sorry.”
“I gotta tell you that, there’s nothing like having sweet fans like you guys and being able to share something special with you,” the singer gushed.
Clad in skin-tight pants, a midriff-baring top, and knee pads, CiCi sang “Sorry.” Similar to her earlier “Promise,” “Sorry” is a slow jam, but the adept dancer found pockets in which to bust out a few moves. Towards the end, she even broke out a cappella, getting the crowd involved in an impromptu sing-a-long.
She really should just do hood dance songs (Ride, Blauw, Get It girl). That’s all that really works for her. She’s all out of breath and lack of any vibrato in her voice makes songs like this sound very emotionLESS.

@tell’em, I at least give this has been an “A” for effort. Girl Cici, SIT!!!!!! You’re done. poor thing is really trying for a comeback. Have a seat with Brandy, Monica, Ashanit & the other R&B has beens.
Why isn’t Ciara bigger than what she is? She has all the tools. She can dance, she can sing(by today’s standards at least), she has charisma, what is it holding her back??
@WayneRules2012, if you believe in the illuminati thing, then she obviously did join if u see the Sorry video… check the bedroom scene. even though i think artists place the “symbolism” for publicity
You kno I had a whole paragraph of negativity to say but I decided to delete. It is what is. I did my part, other fans need to do their part and most of all Ciara needs to do her part. I’ll wait the next single, hopefully she gives me what I want.
I love my girl CiCi!!! She did a great job! That pics is dope and Ciara looks beautiful!! And I’m glad she sang a lil a cappella at the end. I freaking love this song!!! I can’t just play it once. One I’m ready to see more and more performances!! One Woman Army baby!!!! :)
She has another flop in her hands. She might be talented but as long as she says no to the illuminati i fear her career would be in jeopardy unless God wants to prove himself in ciara’s career.
In the ’80s, Prince worked wonders with hot women who couldn’t sing. Apollonia, Susan Moonsie, Vanity. But … then again, they had the suaveness and charisma which drew the public — men and women — to them. Too bad Ciara couldn’t have benefited from his influence.
Eh…I liked the acapella at the end. It’s a hot song. She should’ve done the performance “Promise” style while sitting down and have her dancers in the background. She sounded out of breath walking/running back and forth across the stage.
Ciara is the BIZNESS i hope she succeds this time around, Sorry is an urban jam and i hear new single “Got Me Good” which drops next weeks samples “My Boo” by Ghostown DJ’s sounds like FIYAH!!!!
Speaking from a performer’s perspective I like Ciara. She makes great music and her love for that and performing can not be taken from her. As artists we should be aware of our strengths and weaknesses. Her songs may not hit like they have in previous years but he she is doing what she loves. You can’t fault her for that. Her true fans will still love her. If she studies Janet like I know she does, she should know when to move and when to know you can hold your notes and sing them live. Regardless the case keep doing what you do Ciara. Rock on!
@waka, RIGHT! For ex, Goapele can sing circles around Ciara. But she’s neo-soul, isn’t half naked in her videos and doesn’t oversexualize her lyrics. In today’s time, sadly enough, that’s “unmarketable.”
she is An amazing dancer but Let see how far she can get with her Song on Itune for Sorry and it does seems in south africa did not know the Lyric to her song Sorry @ all

@Mrunhateable, lack of evolution. Zero growth, nothing fresh. When u look at other artist and hear their sounds…each era is distinctive.
