As fans continue to wait for his sophomore album, Asher Roth drops a track to tide them over; “Wrestling Is Fake,” a pumped-up, guitar-laden number produced by Oren Yoel.
The song itself has little to do with wrestling as a sport but instead finds the Pennsylvania MC rapping about his awesome, famous life along with plenty of ’90s references like Dunkaroos and “Doug.”
Asher revealed that his album finally has a release date and new title, and he plans to share it with his fans soon. “Album title & release date on it’s way!! STAY TUNED!” he tweeted.
In the meantime, catch him on his “Fall Clashic Tour” starting November 1.

@Da fan, @Whocares, I can think of a few black rappers that sound the same, but no one is suggesting they be eradicated from hip hop. I believe everyone deserves a chance to hustle their way to respect, no matter what their culture, ethnicity, etc.
Thank God the pop blogs don’t have comments like, “All black dance/pop artist sound alike. All these R&B cats need to be taken out of this shit…” All hell would pop off then. Right?
