Ciara Blasts Bloggers in Open Letter

Ciara

Ciara is leaving the negativity behind in 2013. The “Body Party” singer has penned an open letter on her website, in which she denounces blogs and social media for tearing down others.

In the letter, entitled “What Is Social Media Coming To?” she admits to visiting blogs, but has become increasingly disturbed by their slanderous stories.

“But nowadays it seems like there’s a competition with sites on ‘Who Can Tear Someone Down the Most,’” she writes. “The stories are going from cool and creative to pure drama. Even the comment sections are beginning to get out of control and people are using the platforms to exercise a false sense of power.”

Additionally, she has noticed the same behavior on Instagram, where positive posts spawn negative comments.

“I think to myself, ‘I could pick this person apart so bad but what for? Why act ugly like them?’ says CiCi. “It honestly takes the fun out of it when people seem so miserable.”

She questions why people spend their time ripping others apart when they could focus on something positive, but she believes that the negative bloggers will get what they deserve.

“It’s never worth it in the end when you sell your soul for a quick dollar, by creating bad stories about people,” says CiCi. “At some point, it will all reverse on you and you’ll end up regretting all the trash you wrote or said about people.”

Moving forward, she has decided to stop visiting blogs. “Now, Off Blogs. Peaceful Mind. Living In My Happiness. Creativity Only.”

@meme, Rihanna herself ADMITS to being a bad guy, and a “i dont give a f8CK about right and wrong” demon. she makes her own self look bad. And she is always talking bad about beyawnsay.

@sd, her whole stint on fashion police was pretty distasteful considering the fact that she was asked about how she looked and instead decided to dive into her character; quite unprofessional. But that is old.

Of course I agree with everything Ciara is saying but I was never a fan of this purity positivity thing that she puts on; not to say she’s not trully like that but she glamorizes it to such an extent to make herself look good.

@LILO, She does it because that is how all Southern American Christian girls are raised. Obviously you dont know anything about Christian values and morals.

I feel bad for her. She really seems like a drama free person. Someone who honestly dont like drama. Unlike rihanna who feeds off of drama (which I admire about her). Ciara will be just fine tho. Keep up the hard and keep your head up girl

@meme, What kind of sick culture were you and rihanna raised in? You need to go back there, and stay, and be with your own kind, so you can have 24/7 murder, rape, jealousy, hate, and all the other negative drama creating evils. We dont need you in America messing up our country, and spreading your evil and drama.

@theresa, No thats ok…we’ll stay right here, make use of your educational system and take all the jobs and opportunities that you black americans take for granted. Spreading evil? What a joke, let me tell you..there are more non-american blacks that are doctors and educated professionals in this country than there are ghetto black americans, so go sit down with that shit.

@meme, Did Martin Luther King, and black americans who marched and died and fought for civil rights for blacks have anything to do with your success?

OR are you fool enough to believe you achieved something all by yourself, eventhough you couldn’t do anything positive to uplift your life in your own homeland, and whites still own everything of value where you are from?

  6. Natasha

I mostly agree with her but she’s obviously doing this for attention so she’s doing the same thing in another way. Also, the selling your soul thing seems like her talking about how the people that are more successful than her are more successful because they’ve sold their souls to the “Devil.” (Rihanna, Beyonce, etc.)

    [Reply]

    janice Reply:

@Natasha, Selling your soul to the devil is a voudon caribbean belief and practice. It is not part of American Christian culture or thought life. She definitely is not speaking about that.

She is speaking of those people with low morals who will do anything but work hard at their craft to get on top.

hell yeah! and with this site here as well, has grown in popularity over the last few years, (reader since 2009) but we can’t control others. Sure we can lead by example though people must know whats worthy to be entertained and what is not. I believe the real prob is one’s lack of hobbies. People forget we “lived” before all this social media. I used to be excited to subscribe to magazines, purchase physical albums and read the credits while playing the new lil cd. That was a hobby of mine! Now everything is a click away. PRACTICE SELF DISCIPLINE and pass on the message at best!

Ciara chose to be a celebrity – she wasn’t recruited. Public figures are not immune from criticism and all blogs aren’t going to be up your rear end like this one.

    @Grant, This times a million!!!
It’s funny how years ago when her career was doing relatively better than it is now, Cici had none of this to say. While I do agree that bloggers and those who leave comments, can be extremely harsh at times, many artists tend to confuse criticism with hate. The minute a site or a fan doesn’t brown nose and declare someone their faves, it’s labeled hate.
Lets be clear, saying something like “This bitch is ugly and her music aint shit” is just as ridiculous as “She is a god and her music is waaay better than your fave.” Interesting how celebs only accept other people’s opinions when they’re being praised… ever notice how celebs will only retweet the good shit and let those dick riders gas them up? Just saying

Beyonce is the worst. She should have supported autism charities , cause most of her fans seem to be ”Beyonce autists” !
    LMAo
(No offense to people with ‘real’ autism !) but:
Autism is a disorder of neural development characterized by impaired social interaction and verbal and non-verbal communication through Beyonce fans, and by restricted, repetitive or stereotyped behavior like Beyonce.

    Capra Reply:

@Ra, she was asked about fashion; not about how she is as a personality so it was indeed a jab since the professional and mature route would have been to not have mentioned that at all but Ciara decided not too.

And plus every person who knows her, have ever worked with her, or met her have said how funny, chill, and down to earth she is so Ciara can stop putting up this mother Theresa front.

PREACH CIARA!!! Ciara’s music has gone downhill over the years in my opinion but she has not told not one lie in that letter, not one! I was just telling some people the other day about how these blogs are turning into complete GARBAGE. Last year I found a ton of misspelled words on Radar Online and The HuffPost. The people who write these blogs are supposed to be so educated but can’t even spell SIMPLE words.

Don’t even get me started on these stan wards and celebrity stalking people. You would be surprised how miserable and ugly people are behind these computers. Sure, it can make someone feel powerful to know they can tear someone else down but in real life they are TRASH that has NOTHING going for them. At the end of the day Ciara and her baby will have a much better life financially than all the welfare pigs and negroes smooching off the government because they are too lazy to go work or don’t want to work.

I hate to say it too, but black blogs are worse than white ones. People like Perez Hilton are nowhere near as cruel as someone on a site like Lipstick Alley. I would encourage Ciara to NEVER visit that ape site. She really would get her feelings hurt. These people are miserable so they will NEVER stop talking about you. Ciara just better think about her blessings and that is all.

Yeah she makes a great point about the good old days…to me they were the 90s. Social media is cute but there are more disadvantages to it than advantages and we have all seen that come to play. NO LIES WERE TOLD SO BRAVO CIARA!!!

    the genius Future
the Great – Ciara, Lady Gaga, Brittany, Miley, Mclemore and Ryan, Ashanti, keyshia cole, rihanna, tamar,

That bey and her camel stay begging fellow entertainers to help ram their garbage down the public’s throats, or buying it themselves. they suck and their time is up.

She should have spent less time reading blogs and more on promoting her album and singles.

    [Reply]

    Antonio Reply:

@muzikxxx, it’s a label’s descision how and when to promote an album/singles. Ciara is signed to a label that doesn’t have a strong A&R department because all of Epic’s artists flopped this year: Ciara, Tamar Braxton, Sara Bareilles and Avril Lavigne. Funny thing is, there singles did well and their albums were all critically acclaimed but Epic didn’t pour millions into the promo campaign like Rihanna, Katy, Taylor, Gaga, JT’s or Miley’s labels did.

  23. CurtisDonDeano

I always agree with the logic, you sign up for criticism. Social Networks are not NATURAL ways of communication technically. There is no real human interaction.

My sister is beautiful but doesn’t have an IG, because she said,” I don’t want anyone to say anything about me”. I find it funny, but she just doesn’t like attention, lol. Good or Bad.

To all of those people that have something to say about Rihanna or Beyonce fans, because I know we are strong in comparisons and making all other celebs feel like less….Its not Bey or Rih fault. The thing is people attract to winners. Bey constantly wins, so even beyond her talent, we have something to be proud of. Same for Rih fans.

Celebs like to blame other celebs for the reason they don’t have a strong fan base. ” Beyhive and Nahvi is so stanlife so they don’t let another girls win, instead the probe them against each other” people whine. CIARA NEEDS TO BUILD HER BASE, IF THAT MEANS GOING OUT TO THE CLUB OR FOLLOWING PPL BACK ON IG IDK….BUT SHE NEEDS TO WORK ON IT.

THERE ARE ENOUGH PEOPLE THAT DON’T LIKE BEY OR RIH (THOSE STUPID PEOPLE LMFAO) THAT WOULD PROBABLY STAN FOR CICI.

sorry for the long comment, I just feel like this point wasn’t spoke on.
