New Music: Kelly Rowland – ‘The Game’

The Game

Kelly Rowland has her eye on the prize. The newly-married singer gets in “The Game” on her empowering new anthem off Pepsi’s soccer-inspired visual album Beats of the Beautiful Game.

“I was immediately attracted to ‘The Game’ because I can identify with its theme of overcoming challenges and finding your voice,” said Kelly. “It’s a very important message and I’m honored to partner with Pepsi on a project that brings the worlds of music, sports, and film together. As an artist—and a huge film and sports fan—it’s been an incredible experience.”

There will also be a short film for the song directed by Spike Lee.

The complete 11-track album drops June 10 featuring Janelle Monáe, Rita Ora, Don Omar, Santigold, Timbaland, and more.

Meanwhile, Kelly has been working on her fifth studio album, which was inspired by iconic female singers like Diana Ross.

I don’t know how to feel about this song yet I love Kelly rowland she is my favorite R&B singer but I hope she don’t release this as a single it’s different but sometimes different doesn’t always work she needs to go back to R&B like when she did motivation she can do a good R&B dance song pop isn’t for everyone

@HazelNut, If you scroll up and actually read the description it clearly tells u this isn’t the single for her album. It specifically says it’s for the Pepsi promotional compilation album. Read.
And No Kelly should not do more songs like Motivation. Her latest album was full of nothing but those types of songs including “Ice” which flopped harder than anything else she’s released. Stop trying to keep her music in only one lane. She’s too talented for that.

@Deejay, wow you hit the nail on the head, Kelly needs more pop, dance, electro to gain a wider audience, and make it to the top of the charts. Generic RnB songs don’t cut it these days. That’s one of the reasons ‘Talk a Good Game’ didn’t do very well
