Ciara Takes Over ‘Today’ Show

In between dates on her “Jackie” tour, Ciara threw a party on the “Today” show for Cinco CiCi De Mayo. Clad in all white, she took over Rockefeller Plaza and served up the R3hab remix to “I Bet” off her sixth album Jackie, which was named after her mother.

“Now being a mom I can see the world through her eyes and what it’s like to be in her shoes, and it is really the coolest thing that’s happened to my life,” she said. “It marks this really special moment in my life.”

Last week, she attended the White House State Dinner with her new boyfriend Russell Wilson. “Life is amazing and I had the most amazing experience in the White House,” she said. “I was so blessed to have an exclusive tour. We had a great time. We got to go to the conference room, we got to see the West Wing, the Oval Office, the Royal Garden. It was just so amazing. Life is pretty sweet.”

In honor of Cinco de Mayo, she also joined the “Today” hosts and whipped up some guacamole with Chef Pablo Loza. “Muy bueno, perfecto!” she told him.

Later this week, Ciara will debut the video for the Diane Warren-penned “I Got You,” which co-stars her one-year-old son Future Zahir Wilburn.

“Having my son has just changed my life in such a great way and it’s totally inspired me,” she said. “I’m just so expressive these days and I just feel like, ‘I’m a woman.’ I’m embracing everything that comes with it and it’s given me a whole ‘nother level of confidence, and it definitely has inspired me in such a great way in the recording process.”
