Drake Debuts New Freestyle at 'Jungle Tour' in Detroit
Drake’s “Jungle Tour” pulled into The Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit on Wednesday night. In addition to performing hits and fan favorites, October’s Very Own debuted a new freestyle, on which he raps about fame, fortune, and friends.
“Look, I would have so many friends if I didn’t have money, success, and accomplishments,” said Drizzy. “I would have so many friends if I held back the truth and I just gave out compliments / I would have all of your fans if I didn’t go pop and I stayed on some conscious shit / Man, I would have so many more friends if I lost my respect and my confidence.”
He also threw in some subliminal shots. “‘Cause I’m in the club every time that they play the competition, if they even play the competition / And I see no response they get, nobody’s even hearing it.”
He continued, “Y’all better not come to my studio with that fake shit / Y’all better not come to my funeral with that fake shit / All I ever ask is that you keep it 100 / … All I ever ask is you keep it 8 more than 92 with me…100.”
The “Jungle Tour” makes it way to Chicago, Montreal, and Toronto, with a stop at New York’s Governors Ball on June 5.
