New Music: French Montana feat. A$AP Rocky - 'Off the Rip (Remix)'

Oh me, oh my my. If you’ve spent any time outside in New York this summer then you’ve undoubtedly heard French Montana, N.O.R.E., and Chinx’s city-conquering collaboration “Off the Rip” booming out of every other car stereo. It serves as a poignant memorial for Chinx, who was tragically killed in May.

Now, a remix for the song has emerged with a new verse from Harlem hero A$AP Rocky. After his submergence into the psychedelic ether on his recent album A.L.L.A, it’s a change of pace to hear him on straightforward hard-knocking percussion.

“Lord Pretty Flacko remix it off the rip,” he spits, before shouting out his neighborhood: “Do it for the Westside, 125th.” He also adds a respectful “R.I.P. to Chinx.”
