John Legend brings the “Love” to daytime.

During an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” the Ohio crooner shared “Love Me Now,” the first single off his forthcoming fifth album Darkness and Light.

“I don’t know who’s gonna kiss you when I’m gone,” he sang with his band behind him. “So I’m gonna love you now like it’s all I have / I know it’ll kill me when it’s over / I don’t want to think about it / I want you to love me now.”

Darkness and Light is due later this year featuring collaborations with Chance the Rapper, Miguel, and Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes.

Speaking of love, Legend also took a seat on Ellen’s couch to talk about someone he loves very much, his 6-month-old daughter.

“Luna is adorable,” he said. “She’s pretty chill so far and I’m the chill one, of course. Luna smiles a lot. She’s got a good temperament so far.”

During the interview, he also discussed his love for his supermodel wife Chrissy Teigen, his forthcoming work in movies, and his support for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.
