Listen to Wiz Khalifa Remix The Chainsmokers' 'Closer'
Wiz Khalifa gets high once again on his remix to The Chainsmokers’ Halsey-assisted chart-topper “Closer.”
Over the infectious instrumental, Mister Cap raps about one of his favorite and most-frequently-discussed habits. “Khalifa Man, I’m fresh off of the plane,” he rhymes. “Been smoking so long, I got my own strain / Roll up a joint and take it to the brain / Say you getting high, well now you’re speaking my language.”
“Closer” has been a dominant force on the Billboard Hot 100 since its release in July of 2016. It went on become the duo’s highest-charting single to date, peaking at No. 1. It’s shown staying power, too. Months past its release, the song is currently sitting at No. 10 on the coveted chart.
Khalifa has been busy of late. In between readying his next album Rolling Papers 2, he can be heard on “Gang Up” off The Fate of the Furious soundtrack and seen in the video for his Taylor Gang single, “For More.”
