New Music: Offset & Cardi B - 'Um Yea'

  /  12.09.2017

Cardi B and Offset caught another “Lick.” After joining forces on “MotorSport” and “Lick,” the power couple reunites on “Um Yea,” a standout cut off Quality Control: Control the Streets Volume 1.

Armed with his quick-cutting flow, the Migos MC kicks off the track with a reference to Bardi’s Gangsta Bitch Music mixtapes and his own street status: “If I’m a gangsta, my bitch is a gangsta, she ready to slide.”

Following Offset’s hook, in which he asks why a hater’s starin’ at his lady, the Migos rhymer hands off the microphone to an animated Cardi. “I’m that bitch that’s really eating the most,” she raps. “I’m with your ni**a ’cause he know just how treat a ho / Let’s talk money in Spanish ’cause I can speak it in both.”

“Um Yea” is one of 30 tracks off Quality Control’s just-released Control the Streets Volume 1, which also features appearances from Nicki Minaj, Lil Yachty, Gucci Mane, Migos, Kodak Black, Lil Baby, and Travis Scott, among others.
