Rihanna Celebrates 30th Birthday with Star-Studded Party
Rihanna celebrated her 30th birthday in style with a formal private party in New York City on Tuesday (Feb. 20).
The top secret affair was held at The Grill/The Pool restaurant and attended by the likes of Toni Braxton and Paris Hilton, as well as close friends and family. All eyes were on Bad Gal, who arrived in a lavish chauffeured ride, looking stunning in a vibrant magenta gown.
The event was so secretive that guests were asked to place their phones inside of pouches to prevent photos from being leaked. Still, paparazzi captured many of the celebs on their way in and out of the event, including Braxton, who wore a shimmering black gown and Hilton, who wore a sheer black dress.

Before the bash, Rihanna celebrated her mother Monica Fenty for raising her. Posting an image of herself as a child and a more recent photo, the superstar honored her mom in the caption.
“10958 days ago @monica_fenty became a mother for the first time to her only daughter! Today is just as much your birthday as it is mine,” she wrote. “I love you mom! Thank you for carrying me, birthing me, raising me, supporting me, teaching me, and loving me unconditionally! The woman I am today is because of everything that you are! I thank God for perfectly hand picking you to be my mother when He sent my spirit to you! You are the greatest! Thank you!”

Her proud mom also celebrated her b-day on the Gram, writing: “Happy 30th. God’s blessings to my 1st born. The sweetest, most humble person I know, and most loving daughter ever. Lots of love back to you on your special day.”
