Eminem Brings Out Dr. Dre & 50 Cent at Coachella

  /  04.16.2018

Just one day after Beyoncé turned Coachella into Beychella, Eminem closed out the first weekend of the festival with a fiery and nostalgic performance in the desert.

Mentor Dr. Dre, who headlined with Snoop Dogg in 2012, made a surprise cameo during Slim Shady’s set. The longtime collaborators performed “Still D.R.E.,” “Forgot About Dre,” and a reworked version of “Nuthin’ But a ‘G’ Thang” as a trip down memory lane.

50 Cent joined his Gatman and Robbin partner-in-rhyme for their “Patiently Waiting” collaboration. The G-Unit boss then ran through some classics of his own, including “I Get Money” and “In Da Club” before the duo got back together for “Crack a Bottle.”

Frequent collaborator Skylar Grey also lent her vocals. She filled in for Beyoncé on “Walk on Water,” Rihanna on “Love the Way You Lie,” and Dido on “Stan.” Meanwhile, D12’s Denaun Porter played the hype man role throughout the evening and even co-hosted a “Mean Tweets” segment.

Throughout the evening, Marshall Mathers thrilled the crowd with hits spanning his 20-year career. He began with cuts like “Till I Collapse,” “White America,” and “Sing for the Moment,” and closed with classics including “My Name Is,” “Not Afraid,” and “Lose Yourself.”

In addition to Em, Day 3 of Coachella featured performances from Cardi B, Migos, Miguel, French Montana, Jidenna, 6LACK, and more.
