R&B Snubbed Once Again at the GRAMMYs

The GRAMMY Awards once again snubbed R&B in the top categories including Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Mary J. Blige did not win in either category. This year’s GRAMMYs were similar to last year’s when Mariah Carey was shut out of the same categories. Mary and Mariah each ended up winning three awards in the R&B categories (coincidence?). Both had been considered front runners and were among the year’s top selling albums. This year, the academy decided to make a political statement instead of honoring the best in music. When will R&B finally get it’s due?
