Janet Jackson Working with Maroon 5 on New Album
/ 10.12.2007
Janet Jackson’s first album on Island Records Urban will feature work from The-Dream, Rodney Jerkins, and a collaboration with Maroon 5. Jermaine Dupri, who is A&R-ing the project, says the record will be out “probably in February or March or the summer. It’s 45 percent done.” One thing that won’t be on the album is a duet between Janet and Mariah Carey. Nelly, for one, wanted to try and pull off the collaboration on his upcoming Brass Knuckles, but he couldn’t come up with a good enough idea for the song.
