Michael Jackson

The late King of Pop will grace the big screen for a two-week limited engagement starting in October.

Sony Pictures will release the film about Michael Jackson’s final three months, including rehearsal footage from his “This Is It” concerts, to theaters worldwide for two weeks only starting Wednesday, October 28.

Tickets for “Michael Jackson: This Is It” go on sale Sunday, September 27. Kenny Ortega, who was choreographing Jackson’s shows, is directing the documentary.

“Audiences will be given a privileged and private look at the singer, dancer, filmmaker, architect, and genius as he creates and perfects his final show,” said the press release.

Jackson died less than three weeks before his 50 sold-out comeback concerts were to start at London’s O2 Arena on July 13.
