Lil Wayne Sports Band-Aid After Skateboard Accident
The show must go on. Lil Wayne didn’t let a little skateboard accident stop him from performing. A wounded Weezy took the stage in Kansas City for his “I Am Still Music” tour last night, wearing a Band-Aid over his left eye. He received nine stitches after falling off his skateboard in St. Louis on Sunday night.
Following the mishap, the platinum rapper thanked his supporters via Twitter and Facebook. “Thx to u all for the concern but pls know that I will eventually take even harder falls if I wanna get better…and I will,” said a resilient Weezy, who got right back up on his skateboard later that night. “Just had an amazing sesh at Sean Malto’s sk8 shop kalled Escapist!! Props to everyone who was there shreddin wit me!!”
Lil Wayne will release his ninth solo album Tha Carter IV immediately following his performance at Sunday’s VMAs.
