Azealia Banks Stars in Alexander Wang Campaign
Karl Lagerfeld hand-picked her to perform at his house during Paris Fashion Week and Prada dressed her in custom clothes for its Met Ball after-party. Now fashion’s newest darling Azealia Banks flaunts her style in the fall campaign for T by Alexander Wang.
“She exudes a certain rawness that makes her a very unique talent,” said the designer, who chose the “212” rapper as his date for the Met Ball. “I loved working with her on this video for T Fall 2012, and think the collaboration captures a collision of energies.”
The Harlem femcee, who stars in a promotional video for the line, expressed her excitement via Twitter, writing, “That’s right ! Azealia Banks is the muse for this season’s, T BY ALEXANDER WANG campaign!”
