Q-Tip Hints at 'Cruel Winter' Album

Q-Tip

If you were wondering why Q-Tip, Mos Def, and others weren’t on Cruel Summer, there may be a G.O.O.D. reason. Q-Tip has revealed that a sequel could be in the works.

When asked why he didn’t appear on the compilation, the legendary rapper/producer apologized, but offered a hint at what’s to come. “I know, I know, I’m sorry about that but I have to let the cat out of the bag. Kanye’s probably gonna get…” he told MTV News at Saturday’s BET Hip Hop Awards.

He called his G.O.O.D. labelmate Pusha T over and asked him if it was OK to spill the details. “If there’s a Cruel Summer then there’s got to be a Cruel Winter, right?” he said.

The compilation featuring Kanye West, 2 Chainz, Big Sean, Pusha T, Kid Cudi, Common, and Teyana Taylor opened at No. 2 this week on the Billboard 200 with 205,000 copies sold.
