Cash Money’s resident rocker Kevin Rudolf is back and ready to “Let It Rock” once again. The singer and instrumentalist is preparing his third album and has released not one, but two big anthems: “Don’t Give Up” and “Champions” featuring labelmates Lil Wayne, Birdman, and Limp Bizkit (Wayne even deemed the latter “the greatest song in the world”). staging-rapup.kinsta.cloud spoke with Kevin about his new music, dream collaborations, and the remix to “Champions.”

The triumphant record initially started as an idea Birdman had to create “a big Cash Money champion, heroes, big group record.” Similar to his rousing “Let It Rock,” “Champions” has already garnered major heat and was the theme song for the WWE’s “Night of Champions.” A remix is in the works too and though not quite finished, Kevin revealed that his Cash Money cohorts Busta Rhymes and Mystikal are slated to have verses.

While his new album has yet to receive an official release date, he assures that it will have a big, sonically uplifting feel. “It makes you feel bigger than life and maybe that comes from watching Superman movies as a kid or Rocky,” he said. “I just love putting that energy into the world, to empower people.”

As for his biggest hit to date, “Let It Rock,” which has lived on well past its 2008 release, Kevin considers the song’s astronomic success “a blessing.” “I was always about the song,” he said. “I’m always about the music. When you create a piece of music that is intertwined with people’s lives and their experiences, to me, that’s the biggest compliment. You are part of the world, you are a part of the culture through music.”

Rudolf has worked with a variety of artists from Rick Ross to Cobra Starship, but he has a few collaborations still on his wish list. “I grew up listening to U2 and it would be a dream to collaborate with them,” he shared. “It would be a dream to collaborate with someone like Sade, even though I know she never will. I would love to collaborate with Jay-Z. I would love to work with Eminem. There’s a lot of artists that I have a lot of respect for that I haven’t had the opportunity to work with.”
