From 560 State Street to the Barclays Center. Jay-Z takes us along the epic journey to the opening of Brooklyn’s billion-dollar venue in his 24-minute documentary “Where I’m From,” which premiered on Life+Times.

The triumphant trek starts a year ago, leading up to the grand opening of the stadium in Brooklyn, where the Nets now play. Jay rehearses with his band for his eight sold-out shows and rides the subway with his fellow New Yorkers including one unsuspecting lady. It concludes on stage at the new Barclays Center, just steps away from where he grew up.

“Look how far we’ve come,” says Jay while holding Jackie Robinson’s Brooklyn Dodgers jersey. “This has been my finest moment performing.”
