J. Cole fans will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on his sophomore album Born Sinner. The Roc Nation rapper has delayed the project.

While hosting a New Year’s Eve gig at TAO Las Vegas, Cole revealed that the follow-up to his 2011 debut Cole World: The Sideline Story won’t arrive on his 28th birthday, as previously announced.

“It’s not gonna make January 28. It’s gonna be a little later than that. I needed more time,” he told PopStop TV.

The first single, “Miss America,” was released in November.
