Gary Clark, Jr.

Gary Clark, Jr. drowns his sorrows with the sound of his guitar in the video for “Numb” off his debut album Blak and Blu. The 29-year-old bluesman channels Jimi Hendrix while singing about the downsides of love in the black-and-white visuals.

After fighting with his girlfriend, Gary hits the highway in his Cadillac Fleetwood. He parks it on the side of a deserted road and takes out his amp, wailing his electric guitar to heal his pain.

Gary has recorded a collaboration with The-Dream (“Too Early”) for his upcoming album IV Play, and will perform with The Roots at the 6th Annual Roots Picnic in Philadelphia on June 1.
