Shanell has been covering R&B classics each week as part of her “Throwback Music Thursday Series.” Now the Young Money singer releases two original songs off her upcoming mixtape Midnight Mimosas, which drops June 4. On “Catch Me at the Light,” she searches for a man with whip appeal, while the bouncy “Dedicated” is a ’90s-inspired jam with a mean guitar riff.
