Video: Keyshia Cole - 'I Choose You'
Keyshia Cole faces a tough decision in the black-and-white video for her ballad “I Choose You.” The R&B songstress is in love with two men, but she can’t decide on just one. The heartfelt song, which appears on last year’s album Woman to Woman, was written by Elijah Blake.
“Mary [J. Blige] sung it before I did and Jennifer Hudson sung it before I did as well and neither one of them took it,” said Keyshia during her appearance on “106 & Park.” “When I recorded it, we definitely paid for it right away. We was like, ‘Nobody else is recording this song. We’re taking it.'”
During her visit to BET, she also addressed the rumors that she and her husband Daniel “Boobie” Gibson are having marital issues. “It’s all good. I’m living my life and I’m trying to do the best that I can do and the best way that I can do it,” she said. “If they wanna keep talking, they can keep talking. God is good to me and he’s blessed me so much.”
Keyshia recently launched her shoe collection with Steve Madden and is working on her next album.
