Fresh off his “SNL” appearance, Eminem was back on stage at the inaugural YouTube Music Awards on Sunday. With some help from Mr. Porter, the Detroit rapper performed his MMLP2 cut “Rap God” against a stark black-and-white set. The Syndrome-directed performance was shot live at New York City’s Pier 36 and broadcast around the world.
He was also named Artist of the Year, beating out fan favorites including Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and One Direction.
On Tuesday, Eminem will release his eighth album The Marshall Mathers LP 2 featuring Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Skylar Grey, and Nate Ruess.
