Pharrell

Fresh off his performance at last month’s Grammy Awards, Pharrell will take the stage at the Oscars next month.

The Neptunes hitmaker will spread some sunshine by performing his Oscar-nominated song “Happy” at the 86th Annual Academy Awards, it was announced Tuesday.

“Happy,” which appears on the soundtrack to the animated film Despicable Me 2, is nominated for Best Original Song.

Pharrell, along with composer Hans Zimmer, previously served as a music consultant for the 84th Annual Academy Awards in 2012.

Just last month, Pharrell performed with Daft Punk, Stevie Wonder, and Nile Rodgers at the Grammys, where he took home three awards including Producer of the Year.

He is currently in the studio working on his upcoming album for Columbia Records. He can also be heard on Major Lazer’s new single “Aerosol Can” off their EP Apocalypse Soon.

In April, he will play the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and will hit the road with Bruno Mars for select dates starting in May.

Watch Pharrell perform when the Oscars air live from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday, March 2, on ABC.
