Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks Break Up

Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa aren’t the only ones calling it quits. Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks have broken up.

According to E! News, the split was mutual, but they still care for each other and will remain friends.

The couple had been romantically linked as early as September 2011 and were seen together at last month’s MTV Video Music Awards. Jordin even spoke about going on Derulo’s upcoming “Talk Dirty” tour.

The pair had never been shy about their relationship. Derulo, 25, staged a mock proposal to Sparks, 24, in his music video for “Marry Me” and they recorded a duet called “Vertigo” for Derulo’s album Talk Dirty.

For Valentine’s Day, he surprised her by booking a hotel suite and filling it with 10,000 orange roses.

When asked if an engagement was in the future, Derulo told Rap-Up TV, “When that time is right.”
