Iggy Azalea Reschedules 'The Great Escape Tour'
Iggy Azalea fans will have to wait a little longer to see her live. The Aussie rapper has postponed her “Great Escape Tour” until the fall.
According to a statement from Def Jam (via Billboard), the North American trek has been rescheduled “due to tour production delays.”
There were previous reports that the tour was on the verge of cancellation due to lack of promotion and conflict behind the scenes. But Def Jam claims that it was done “to accommodate for creative team availability and tour productions.”
“It’s important to Iggy that she delivers the show she envisaged to share with her fans and that requires more time in development,” the label told Billboard.
Iggy released a statement via Twitter and promised her fans that the delay would only make for a better tour.
Iggz HQ: The tour getting pushed back only means that it'll be way more amazing than it would've been in April. Good things take time.

The Wrap reports that Iggy has become “disengaged from her core team” and has shunned promotion. However, a rep for Iggy denies the reports, saying, “There’s no truth to the rumor that there’s any conflict between her and her management.”
Iggy decided to take a break from social media and handed over control of her Twitter and Instagram accounts to her management.
The spring tour with supporting acts Nick Jonas and Tinashe was originally set to kick off on April 14. It will now launch on Sept. 18 in San Diego, Calif.
The revised itinerary includes 21 dates instead of the original 24. Sacramento, Las Vegas, and Baltimore have been cut from the schedule.
