Lil Wayne Blasts Young Thug for 'Carter 6’ Album Title
Lil Wayne is less than pleased with Young Thug. The Young Money chief has slammed the Atlanta rapper for jacking his Carter 6 album title.
During an appearance in Jackson, Miss. on his “Release Partiez” club tour on Thursday, Weezy fired off some angry words at Thugger, who is pictured nearly naked on his Carter 6 album cover.
“Before I go any further, I want ya’ll to do me a favor and stop listening to some ni**as that pose naked on their motherfuckin’ album cover,” he said.
Young Thug has stirred controversy for titling his album Carter 6. Earlier this week, he revealed that the album will be released on April 17.
However, he claims the title is an homage to his “idol” Wayne. “He did Carter I–V, I’ma do VI–X,” Thug told MTV News.
Weezy’s 16-year-old daughter Reginae previously called out Thugger on Twitter for disrespecting her father.
Is he trying to be funny with this Carter6 ? Cause it's pretty childish to me ! #myopinion

UPDATE: Young Thug has responded to Weezy. “I understand that Lil Wayne is frustrated about his career and I feel him on that, but this is my idol,” he said in an Instagram video. “I won’t ever in my life swap words with him or beef with him about nothing. This is a person that I look up to. Ha ha.”
