Tina Knowles Marries Actor Richard Lawson
Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, tied the knot with actor Richard Lawson on Sunday in Newport Beach, Calif.
According to the New York Daily News, the couple exchanged vows onboard a 140-ft. yacht named “Eternity.” Beyoncé, Jay Z, and 3-year-old daughter Blue Ivy were all in attendance, along with Solange, husband Alan Ferguson, and son Daniel Julez, reports TMZ.
Beyoncé, who was at Coachella on Friday, shared a photo from the joyous occasion on her website. Knowles and Lawson were both decked out in white with champagne glasses in hand in the portrait taken by photographer Cliff Watts, while guests adhered to the all-white dress code.
It’s the second marriage for both Knowles, 61, and Lawson, 67, who began dating in 2013. Knowles divorced Beyoncé’s father, Mathew Knowles, in 2011 after more than three decades together.
