Chris Brown Victim of Home Invasion

  /  07.15.2015

Chris Brown was the victim of a home invasion during which armed intruders burst into his house and held his aunt hostage.

According to CNN, the R&B superstar wasn’t at his home in Tarzana, Calif. when the incident went down around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

However, Brown’s aunt was present. After hearing noise outside, she opened the door to find three men with handguns. The armed men forced their way into the house and locked Brown’s aunt in a closet before fleeing by car.

Police did not immediately say what, if anything, was taken from Brown’s house or whether his aunt had been harmed.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that the intruders targeted the house knowing it was owned by Brown. Authorities are investigating, but Brown’s mother, Joyce Hawkins, believes one of her son’s friends was behind the home invasion. She has been warning him for years about what she calls “no good-ass friends,” men who make their living as hangers-on to Chris.

This is not the first time an intruder has entered Brown’s house. In May, the “Loyal” singer returned home to find a naked 21-year-old woman in his house in Agoura Hills, Calif. She had cooked several meals, written “I love you” on the walls, and vandalized his cars.
