Rita Ora Gets Intimate with Chris Brown, Responds to A$AP Rocky Diss

While in New York to promote her new single “Body On Me,” Rita Ora stopped by Hot 97 for an interview with Nessa on Tuesday. They started off the conversation with a light exchange about Rita’s revealing outfit (“My boobs just told me, we want to come out”) followed by a rundown of her recent experiences and adventures.

These include her views on dating, sexting, tangle with A$AP Rocky, and co-starring with Chris Brown in the video for “Body On Me,” which premieres Aug. 21.

“This song is definitely kind of like the most intimate that I’ve ever done, so I tried to balance the video out in a classy way,” she said.

Expect personal revelations on her U.S. debut, which she plans to release around Christmas time. “It’s the first time I’ve given a thank you for everyone that’s had my back. If I’m not honest with myself this ain’t going to work,” she said.

The talk turned to A$AP Rocky, who had some unkind things to say about her on his song “Better Things.” “I swear that bitch Rita Ora got a big mouth / Next time I see her might curse the bitch out,” he raps on the A.L.L.A. cut. “Kicked the bitch out once ’cause she bitched out / Spit my kids out, jizzed up all in her mouth / And made the bitch bounce.”

However, Rita was not phased by his remarks. “I’m not looking at it like ‘you’re upsetting me’ because I don’t actually give a shit. I think about it, and I don’t want people to think it’s OK to speak about women like that. I don’t care what you say about me. I don’t give a flying f**k. That’s just how it is, but you gotta keep it moving. I’m very happy with what I do, and I’m proud of who I am, and what I represent.”

In a subsequent interview, Rocky called his comments “tasteless.” “That’s nice. He still said it though,” said Rita. “Like I said, ‘Congratulations [A$AP Rocky].’ His album has done great. I liked it… And he knows where to find me if he wants to apologize.”

Rita will embark on a U.S. tour, starting Aug. 25 in San Francisco. The nine-date trek will make stops in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Boston, New York, and D.C., wrapping Sept. 17 in Chicago.
