New Music: Prince - 'This Could B Us'

As he gears up for his new album HitNRun next month, Prince debuts a new single called “This Could B Us” (check the Purple Rain-inspired cover). Over trickling piano keys, the 57-year-old icon takes inspiration from the popular “This could be us…” meme before rocking out on a mean guitar solo.
On Sept. 7, Prince will release HitNRun through an exclusive partnership with Jay Z’s TIDAL. The project will also be available in a physical format, and features new songs including “Million Dollar Show” and “Shut It Down.”
“HitNRun took about 90 days 2 prepare its release,” said Prince in a statement. “If that’s what freedom feels like, HitNRun is what it sounds like.”
