New Music: Janet Jackson - 'Unbreakable'

  /  09.03.2015

Janet is back like she never left. After launching a world tour and announcing her album release date and tracklisting, the 49-year-old icon has released the title track “Unbreakable,” which she debuted live on tour earlier in the week.

The upbeat song, produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, serves as a love letter to her fans, who have supported her through the ups and downs. “Truth is that I wouldn’t be here without the love I stand on / Anytime I get lost in the world / You’ll always be there,” she sings.

She cherishes the unbreakable bond she has with her fans, adding, “It’s been a while. Lots to talk about. I’m glad you’re still here. … I dedicate myself to you.”

Unbreakable drops Oct. 2 featuring the J. Cole-assisted “No Sleeep” and “BURNITUP!” featuring Missy Elliott.
